5 free online resources for STEM Teachers

NASA STEM Engagement courses are tailored to elementary, secondary, college, and university students. They offer a variety of research and internship opportunities to attract students to STEM and encourage them to pursue STEM careers in the future. 

Pinterest

Pinterest is an image-sharing and social media service with a ton of free, DIY STEM activities for educators. 

Pictures and videos can be easily saved in the form of pinboards. You can create up to 2,000 pinboards (to keep up a smooth Pinterest navigation system). Most of these DIY STEM projects can be done with things you have lying around your classroom or house. 

PhET Interactive Simulations

PhET Interactive Simulations is a non-profit educational resource project at the University of Colorado Boulder that provides excellent research-based math and science simulations. These are flexible learning tools that students can use in many ways. 

Here, you will find a wide range of videos and simulations that can be used as lecture demonstrations for students, experiments, and more.

Space School

Space School is Canada’s space education resource developed for K-12 students and teachers to promote space-related education. This free STEM education platform provides related curriculum and hands-on space projects. 

Space School aims to connect the school curriculum to disciplines such as STEM, Robotics, Coding, Design, Engineering, and more. 

You can use an excellent variety of lesson ideas for free to start your students’ interest in space-related topics.
